Today's #wheatridgewednesday is very dear to my heart. Saturday I received a call from a 93 year old Wheat Ridge resident that said she knew my whole Bacher family. She was younger than my grandmother Jeanette and her sister Betty pictured here for their 1938 Wheat Ridge High School graduation. But she remembers her older sister Marianne being a part of the crew that hung out with my great aunt and grandmother. Part of my campaign for city council has been to uncover and re-discover my family's connection to Wheat Ridge. Monday I get to sit down with Mabel to talk about growing up in Wheat Ridge 80 years ago and I also will learn more about my grandmother, someone I have never met. I can't wait to share more with you next Wednesday. What a great privilege. What a great place we call home! #tisaprivilegetoliveincolorado #coloradofam#ourhistorymatters #wheatridge
