This week's #wheatridgewednesday features our family homestead. The home and buildings were located at 46th and Wadsworth. The home was built in 1904 and this photo was taken in 1905. The property was renamed Hillcrest in 1915. The neighborhood in the area is named for the property. The home was destroyed in a fire in 1978.
Wheat Ridge schools just "Don't Quit!"
So great that Governor Hickenlooper came to Wheat Ridge to present Everitt Middle School with $100,000 for a Don't Quit! Fitness Center. The grant is from the National Foundation for Governors' Fitness and three schools in Colorado received a grant. Way to go Everitt Middle School! Thanks Gov! Wheat Ridge High School football beat GW in WRHS's Homecoming Game! So fun to watch some great football and our good friend dance at halftime!
